Purpose

The Architect ensures that the project is built according to approved design, functionality, aesthetics, and client requirements while coordinating with engineers and site teams.

Design Phase SOP

  1. Meet client to understand requirements and budget.
  2. Prepare concept design and 3D visualization.
  3. Develop schematic drawings (plans, sections, elevations).
  4. Coordinate with structural and MEP engineers.
  5. Finalize construction drawings.
  6. Prepare specifications and finish schedules.

Construction Phase SOP

  • Review shop drawings and material samples.
  • Attend site meetings and inspections.
  • Issue clarification drawings (if required).
  • Respond to RFIs from site team.
  • Approve finishing mock-ups.
  • Record design changes and VO impact.
Rule: No construction without approved drawing.

Quality & Aesthetic Control SOP

  • Check finishes, colors, and materials match design intent.
  • Inspect alignment, symmetry, and proportions.
  • Reject non-compliant works and issue comments.
  • Approve final finishes before handover.

Coordination SOP

  • Coordinate design conflicts with structural/MEP.
  • Ensure drawings are consistent across disciplines.
  • Update and issue revised drawings with clear revision cloud.
  • Maintain drawing register.

Handover SOP

  • Prepare as-built drawings.
  • Confirm final finishes and layouts.
  • Support PM during handover inspection.
  • Close design comments and defects.
