SOP: Read with IMPACT

Words: ...
↓ Quick Down

Here’s a simple but powerful way to read with IMPACT so you actually understand, remember, and use what you read — not just scan it.

📘 SOP: Read with IMPACT

I = Intent → Why are you reading?

Before you read, decide your purpose.

  • Ask yourself:

    • “What do I want from this?”

    • “Am I reading to learn, solve, or decide?”

👉 Example:

  • Not good: “I just read”

  • Better: “I want 3 ideas to improve my construction team”

M = Message → What is the core idea?

Focus on the main point, not everything.

  • Look for:

    • Headings

    • Repeated ideas

    • Key sentences

👉 Train yourself:

“If I explain this in 1 sentence, what is it?”

P = Power Words → Highlight strong words

Catch the words that carry meaning.

  • Examples:

    • “Priority”

    • “System”

    • “Leverage”

    • “Discipline”

👉 Action:

  • Underline or save only important words

  • Not everything

A = Authority Tone → Read like a leader

Don’t read passively.

  • Ask:

    • “Do I agree?”

    • “Can I use this in my business?”

👉 Think like a boss:

“How can I apply this to my construction team?”

C = Clarity → Make it simple

If you don’t understand, simplify it.

  • Turn complex ideas into:

    • Simple sentences

    • Real-life examples

👉 Rule:

“If it’s not simple, you don’t understand it yet.”

T = Timing → Use it immediately

Reading without action = useless

  • After reading, do ONE action:

    • Apply it today

    • Teach your team

    • Write a short SOP

👉 Example:

  • Read about “daily meeting”

  • → Use it in tomorrow site meeting (2 minutes)

🔁 Your Daily Reading System (Simple Version)

  1. Set Intent (10 sec)

  2. Read fast for Message

  3. Pick 3 Power words

  4. Think like Authority

  5. Simplify for Clarity

  6. Take 1 action (Timing)

🧠 Example (Your Style – Construction)

You read: “Consistency beats motivation”

  • I → I want to improve team discipline

  • M → Consistency is more important than feeling motivated

  • P → Consistency, Discipline

  • A → “How do I make my team consistent?”

  • C → “Do small tasks every day, no excuse”

  • T → Create daily check system for workers

🔥 Final Rule

❌ Reading more ≠ Getting better
✅ Reading + Thinking + Action = IMPACT
