🎯 1. PURPOSE (Why this SOP matters)

Goal:
Lead your team with authority + respect, not ego.

Reality in construction:

  • Ego → conflicts, delays, mistakes ❌
  • Humble leadership → trust, speed, quality ✅

👉 As a GC, your job is not to be the smartest person
👉 Your job is to make the team perform at their best


🧠 2. CORE PRINCIPLE

💡 “Strong on standards, soft on ego”

  • Be strict on work quality
  • Be calm with people

🔧 4. DAILY LEADERSHIP SYSTEM (SITE PRACTICE)

🏗️ A. Morning Brief (5–10 min)

Say this:

  • “Today our goal is…”
  • “Any problem from yesterday?”
  • “What support do you need?”

👉 Focus: direction + support (not control)


👀 B. Site Walk (Observation Mode)

Do NOT:

  • ❌ Immediately criticize
  • ❌ Show anger

Do:

  • ✅ Observe first
  • ✅ Ask before judging

Example:

  • “Why did we do it this way?”
  • “Is there any issue here?”

👉 You collect facts, not emotions


🗣️ C. Correction Method (No Ego)

Use this structure:

  1. State the issue (neutral)
  • “This beam alignment is off”
  • Explain impact
    • “It will affect finishing later”
  • Give direction
    • “Let’s fix it now before concrete”

    👉 No shouting. No embarrassment.


    🤝 D. Decision Making

    Instead of:

    • ❌ “Do it my way”

    Say:

    • ✅ “What do you think is the best solution?”

    Then:

    • You decide → but after listening

    🧩 5. COMMUNICATION RULES

    🟢 Use THESE phrases:

    • “Let’s improve this”
    • “Good job, but we can do better here”
    • “What problem are you facing?”
    • “I understand, let’s fix it”

    🔴 Avoid THESE phrases:

    • “Why are you so slow?”
    • “You always make mistakes”
    • “Just follow my order”
    • “You don’t understand anything”

    🧠 6. EGO CHECK SYSTEM (SELF-CONTROL)

    Ask yourself daily:

    • Am I reacting or thinking?
    • Do I want to be right or be effective?
    • Did I listen before I speak?
    • Did I help the team improve today?

    👉 If answer = NO → adjust immediately


    ⚠️ 7. WHEN PROBLEM HAPPENS (CRITICAL MOMENT SOP)

    🚫 Don’t:

    • Shout
    • Blame
    • Panic

    ✅ Do:

    1. Pause (5 seconds)
    2. Understand cause
    3. Solve problem
    4. Review after

    “Fix the problem first, fix the people later”
