2) ទំនាក់ទំនង & ឥទ្ធិពល (Communication & Influence)_ from Team Leadership with The 48 Laws of Power

The GC toolkit for messages that land and decisions that stick—clear, brief, visual, and aligned with incentives. Cluster Communication & Influence Master Post

1) Communication Stack — The Six Laws

L4 — និយាយតែចាំបាច់

  • Daily stand-up 10–15 នាទី: Goal — Blocker — Help Needed.
  • One message = one decision/ask; avoid multi-topic threads.

L5 — Reputation

  • សរសើរជាសាធារណៈ (wins, safety, client smile); protect team reputation in escalations.
  • Keep a “reputation bank”: quick shout-outs weekly.

L6 — Attention

  • One-pager or visual board so the key point cannot be missed.
  • Use photos, dates, and progress % in every deck.

L9 — Win by Actions

  • Replace long arguments with site evidence (before/after, test results).
  • Demo a quick pilot instead of debating hypotheticals.

L13 — Appeal to Self-Interest

  • Map incentives per role (Client: risk & handover; Foreman: crew flow; Supplier: PO volume).
  • Phrase asks in their benefit language (“this helps you hit… ”).

L31 — Control the Options

  • Present A/B/C with Cost–Time–Risk–Code, plus a recommended pick.
  • Declare decision window (e.g., “48h to lock procurement”).

2) Playbook — Messages that Move People

A. Daily Stand-up (10–15 នាទី)

  • Yesterday Win (evidence photo) → Today Focus (Top 3) → Blockers → Help Needed.
  • No problem-solving here—route decisions to a short decision meeting.

B. 1-on-1 Influence

  • Private tone, public credit. Listen first, then propose A/B/C aligned to their goals.
  • Close with: Owner · Due · Next check-in date.

C. Client Update (Weekly)

  • Progress % · Photos (dated) · Next Milestones · Risks & Mitigations · Decisions Needed.
  • Attach a one-pager; keep the meeting to 20–30 minutes.

D. Escalation

  • Open with facts; show A/B/C with thresholds; ask for a decision window.
  • MoM out within 1 hour; protect team reputation (L5).

3) Influence Patterns (ឥទ្ធិពលប្រសើរ)

Pattern 1 — Benefit Framing (L13)

  • “For you” statement first → then the request.
  • Show how it reduces their risk, cost, or time.

Pattern 2 — Option Framing (L31)

  • Three clear paths (A/B/C) with side-by-side metrics.
  • Recommend one; define go/kill criteria (ties to L28/L35).

Pattern 3 — Evidence First (L9/L6)

  • Lead with photos/tests; summary text second.
  • Use a fixed visual template to speed reading.

Pattern 4 — Reputation Bank (L5)

  • Weekly public recognition builds trust credit.
  • Spend that credit only for high-stakes decisions.

4) Do / Don’t (សង្ខេប)

✅ Do

  • One topic per message; put the ask in the first 2 sentences.
  • Attach visuals with dates; include decision windows.
  • Give public credit; keep tough feedback 1-on-1.

❌ Don’t

  • Long, multi-topic chats that hide the real decision.
  • Debate without evidence; speculate without pilots.
  • Damage reputation in public—coach privately.
