Dividends YTD Year-to-Date

Dividends YTD (Year-to-Date) is the total cash dividends you’ve received from January 1st to today across your stocks/ETFs. It tracks income only — not price gains or losses.

Formula
Dividends YTD = Sum of all dividend payments received this calendar year.
Quick example
Mar: $20, Jun: $25, Sep: $15 → Dividends YTD = $60.
Why track it?
  • Measure your portfolio’s income this year
  • Compare progress vs last year
  • Monitor if your dividend strategy is working

Where you’ll see it

  • Broker apps (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity): in History / Income / Dividends views.
  • Your own tracker: sum the year’s dividend transactions.

Mini calculator (optional)

Dividends YTD: $0.00

Tips

  • Reinvested? Even if you use DRIP, the cash paid still counts toward Dividends YTD.
  • Currency: Track in one currency for clean totals (e.g., USD).
  • Compare yearly: Keep a simple table by year to see growth.
