BBeam BBS Calculator (Drawing Style + Supports)
Enter beam data in mm. Set how many supports (including ends). The tool assumes ACI 318 design (you provide development length Ld), and automatically adjusts the total support stirrup zone as supports increase.
0) Beam Type
Example: 2 supports = simple span. 3 supports = 1 interior support (2 spans continuous).
More supports → more total support zone length for close stirrups.
1) Geometry (Input) – Elevation
Elevation for input: total span L and support/mid stirrup zones.
Increasing number of supports increases total support zone length used in BBS.
2) Code / Main Bars (ACI)
Top bars are assumed cranked; crank length each side = 0.42 × effective depth.
Use ACI 318 to compute required development length Ld and input here.
3) Stirrups & Section
Cutting length uses closed stirrups with 135° hooks:
L = 2(a + h) + 9ฮฆst, where a = b − 2c, h = D − 2c.
Section view with b, D, inner stirrup a×h, cover and top/bottom bars.
